The Databrick BX2 is the latest generation of Datalux’s unique, compact PC. It is completely fanless, features a powerful Intel Core i5 processor and is housed in a rugged, all-metal enclosure. The base unit comes loaded with Windows 10 Pro, 4GB of DRAM and a 120GB solid state drive in a form factor that is no bigger than four 3.5” HDDs. Even Better, this rugged, industrial grade PC is priced under $1,000. From both a performance and economic viewpoint, the Databrick BX2 makes sense.

Ideal Computer solution for a variety of industries
Healthcare – The Databrick BX2 has no fan and no vents to attract dust, making it ideal for clean and sterile environments. It is also suitable for patient rooms since the solid state drive enables the unit to run virtually noiselessly. For cart applications, the efficiency of the Databrick BX2 enables long run times between battery charges. It is constructed with laptop components and consumes less than X Watts.
Public Safety – The Databrick BX2 can interface with the new Dodge Charger Uconnect touchscreen or aftermarket vehicle monitors such as the Havis TSD1 or Datalux’s LMV series monitors. It will mount nicely in the trunk on an equipment shelf or, with its small form factor, can even be installed in the passenger compartment of a vehicle – beside the console or under a seat. Dual LAN ports allow fast connections to mobile routers, in-vehicle cameras or ALPR systems.
Embedded/Industrial – For applications requiring an embedded industrial controller or PC, the Databrick BX2 surpasses existing products by providing excellent processing power of Core i5 in an envelope no bigger than four 3.5” hard drives. Without any moving parts, it is extremely durable, yet much more price competitive than existing industrial PC solutions.
Fanless and Ventless, with great reliability
All of the cooling is accomplished through the heat conduction fins. There are no vents to accumulate dust. The rigid aluminum alloy enclosure gives it durability in tough applications. These features, combined with the fact that there are no moving parts, give the Databrick BX2 unprecedented reliability. As an added bonus, the unit operates noiselessly.
A wide range of Upgrade Options
The standard configuration features 4GB of DDR3 system memory and can be upgraded to 16GB. The standard 120GB SSD can be changed out with a 256GB SSD, 512GB SSD or even 2TB HDD. In addition, the Databrick features an access door so that the SSD/HDD can be changed without opening the unit up. This feature can be enhanced with security screws to prevent unauthorized access to the drive. Another available option is dual storage drives, one internal to the unit and one accessible. For processing intensive application, furthermore, the Databrick BX2 can be configured with an Intel Core i7 proccessor.
Wide input voltage and Wide operating Temperature
Designed to handle a range of demanding environments, the standard Databrick BX2 will operate on voltages from 10 to 15 VDC. This is suitable for most 12 volt and vehicle applications. As an option, the range can be increased to 9-24VDC with the addition of an integrated DC to DC converter module. The base Databrick BX2 handles operate at temperatures between 0°C and 70°C. With an upgrade to the extreme temperature solid state drive, the operating temperature can be expanded to range from -10° to 85°C.
Loaded with the latest and legacy connectivity
Comes standard with minimum two Superspeed USB 3.0 ports and minimum three standard USB 2.0 ports. Dual Gbe Ethernet LAN ports enable connections to TCP-IP cameras. With both an HDMI and VGA port, the Databrick BX2 can support both newer digital monitors (including 4K) and older analog monitors, as well as dual independent displays. Two legacy RS-232 serial ports are also available to connect to older equipment. For wireless connections, the Databrick BX2 is available with Intel 802.11ac next generation WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 for superfast connections to access points. In addition, the unit can be configured with a dedicated GPS module with antenna jack.
Superior Service, Support and Warranty
The Databrick BX2 is engineered, assembled, serviced and supported in the USA. It comes standard with a 3 year warranty. Factory and field technicians provide assistance with installations, repairs and upgrades. In addition, Datalux offers extended warranties, no-fault warranties and spare-in-the-air programs.
