The IPIX all-in-one computer system is designed specifically for point-of-care and other medical applications, and IPIX systems are found in patient rooms, in patient corridors or at nurse’s stations. The IPIX all-in-one PC can be used by medical professionals or could be used by patients, based upon the hospital’s choice. Other IPIX devices are found integrated into other medical device or equipment and may be found in other parts of the hospital. The IPIX can also be easily mounted in the OR, ER, admitting lobby, or on extended overhead arms.
Key Features of the IPIX e-Series medical grade PC include:
- EN-60601-1-2 Approved, allowing safe use in patent care environments
- Built-in wireless options
- Designed for rugged use in medical applications
- Easy to upgrade and service
- Value priced and energy efficient
- Hospital-friendly service options
EN-60601-1-2 approved: With EN-60601-1-2 certification* you can be confident that the IPIX can be used safely in patient care applications, and that the IPIX meets safety standards.
Wireless: To provide mobile access to the hospital network and patient records, the IPIX can be configured with an internal wireless 802.11a/b/g/n device with an external antenna.
Rugged: In a hospital environment, the computer could get shoved out of the way quickly to deal with patient emergencies. The IPIX is designed for rugged use and includes a shock-mounted hard drive to continue working under conditions that would be punishing to other computer systems. The SATA hard drive is the only moving part on the nearly silent IPIX system, and even this moving part could be eliminated with the use of optional solid-state drives. In addition, the IPIX is tolerant of the disinfectant solutions normally used in medical environments.
Easy to Upgrade/Service: All IPIX systems include a removable hard disk drive or solid state disk, allowing easy upgrades and removal if the unit is returned for repair (as required by Veterans Administration and other hospitals). In addition to our standard drives, almost any 2.5” laptop drive could be used in the IPIX (including larger drives, extreme duty drives, solid state drives). An access panel provides access to the memory slot, allowing the user to upgrade from the standard 1GB DDR2 DRAM to 2GB or 4GB DRAM.
Value-Priced and Energy Efficient: The IPIX e-Series is based upon the Intel Atom processor family which allows Datalux to deliver a medical grade all-in-one PC that is both value-priced and consumes less power (increasing battery life in mobile or cart-based applications.)
Service Options Designed for Hospitals: Every IPIX system comes with a 3-year standard warranty. In addition, the IPIX can be purchased with optional service plans which include Extended Warranty (up to 5 years), Top Flight (overnight replacement), Freedom Protection Plan (accidental damage) and Gold Image (custom imaging services).
*The 17” IPIX is EN-60601-1-2 certified. The 19” IPIX and e-Series were designed to EN-60601-1-2 standards and pending test results. The 20” IPIX was designed to EN-60601-1-2 standards.
