The Databrick UC1 is a powerful, fanless PC that measures an incredibly small 4.6 inches by 4.5 inches by 2.1 inches tall. It features a fast, 2.2GHz Intel Corei5 processor running Microsoft Windows 10 Professional. It comes standard with a 120GB solid state drive and 4GB DRAM, but will support up to a 500GB SSD with maximum of 16GB DRAM. The Databrick UC1 weighs under 1.5 pounds.
The all-metal housing and fanless cooling enable the Databrick UC1 to perform in harsh environments. All of the cooling is accomplished through the heat conduction fins. There are no vents for accumulating dust. The rigid aluminum alloy enclosure gives it durability in tough applications. These features, combined with the fact that there are no moving parts, make the Databrick UC1 exceptionally reliable. All at a price under $1,000.
Healthcare – The super compact size of the Databrick UC1 enables it to mount in a variety of locations on a cart, patient room wall or a piece of equipment. It has no fan and no vents to attract dust, making it well suited for clean and sterile environments. It is ideal for patient rooms since the unit runs silently (thanks to the solid state drive and lack of a fan). For cart applications, the extremely efficient Databrick UC1 consumes only 4.1 watts, allowing long run times between battery charges.
Public Safety – The Databrick UC1 is designed to interface with vehicle monitors such as the Havis TSD1 or Datalux’s LMV series monitors. It can communicate with the new Dodge Charger Uconnect. With the Databrick UC1’s small form factor it can mount in the passenger compartment of a vehicle, making installation and cable routing much easier than trunk mounted computers. The rugged metal housing can attach to a console or monitor mount. It accepts vehicle voltages.
Embedded/Industrial – For applications requiring an embedded industrial controller or PC, the Databrick UC1 surpasses existing products by providing excellent processing power of the Intel Core i5 in an envelope no larger than four decks of cards. Without any moving parts, it is extremely durable, yet much more price competitive than existing industrial PC solutions.
The Databrick UC1 is available with a wide range of mounting adapters to enable installation on carts, behind monitors, in vehicles, inside cabinets. In addition, the Databrick features an access door so that the SSD can be changed without opening the unit up. This feature can be enhanced with security screws to prevent unauthorized access to the drive. All the ports face in one direction to make for clean cable routing and installations. The proprietary VESA mount bracket enables easy swapping of computers without disturbing the mounting arrangement.
Comes standard with minimum one Superspeed USB 3.0 port and minimum three standard USB 2.0 ports. With both HDMI and DisplayPort video connectors, the Databrick UC1 can support several types of digital monitors (including 4K), as well as dual independent displays. For wireless connections, the Databrick BX2 is available with Intel 802.11ac next generation WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 for superfast connections to access points. Designed to handle a range of demanding environments, the standard Databrick BX2 will operate on voltages from 10 to 15 VDC. This is suitable for most 12 volt and vehicle applications. As an option, the range can be increased to 9-24VDC with the addition of an integrated DC to DC converter module. The base Databrick UC1 handles operating temperatures between 0°C and 70°C. With an upgrade to the extreme temperature solid state drive, the operating temperature can be expanded to range from -10° to 85°C.
The Databrick UC1 is engineered, assembled, serviced and supported in the USA. It comes standard with a 3 year warranty. Factory and field technicians provide assistance with installations, repairs and upgrades. In addition, Datalux offers extended warranties, no-fault warranties and spare-in-the-air programs.
